I am a team beachbody coach & personal trainer and Love Insanity & Asylum. I LOVE INSANITY!! It is hard, and it is intended to be that way. Month 1 was very challenging but by the end, I was actually starting to get the hang of it and taking less breaks so was a little more enjoyable. Which I guess is good as it is certainly pushing me but does it get better? Month 2, for me, never got "easier" but I was able to do it and not take as many breaks as the weeks went on. You totally owe it to yourself to finish strong! I would say the Month 2 cardio is definitely harder than Asylum cardio. The second month just goes up a notch. Insanity is a full body workout program that incorporates strength training and jump training, but does so at a much more intense level than P90X. Getting back into it after 3 days of doing nothings felt like day one. Month 2: The first day of month 2 was like Day 1 of the program all over. The digital scale I was using stopped working a couple days ago, and now the only other scale in the house is a tiny black one. I did fairly well on my Fit Test, all of my numbers went up except for one which stayed the same. Actually, I'm on my last week of Month 2, and it still kicks my butt!
