In November 2000, I had the good fortune to be invited to join a wonderful group of Canadian fish and herp enthusiasts who were travelling to Cano Palma, Costa Rica. The group was led by Tom Mason of the Toronto Zoo. We had a fabulous time.

Cano Palma Biological Station is run by COTERC (Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation). It is located in the coastal rainforest near Tortuguero, in the far northeastern portion of Costa Rica.
